The Book of Rubbish Ideas was commissioned by Fragile Earth Books/Sawdays in 2008 and Tracey delivered 40,000 words in 3 months.
She then set to work on a website, partly to accompany the book but mainly to find a home for the 20,000 other words that were burning a hole in her head…
The esteemed London literary agency MGA PR worked closely with Tracey to establish her as the ‘Rubbish Author’. She appeared at many of the UK’s most prestigious Literary Festivals throughout 2008-9, performing with her unique upbeat and encouraging stance on simple, green living.
Book signings took place all over the country and Waterstones were particularly embracing of Tracey’s passion and enthusiasm for getting the green message out there; they let Tracey demonstrate her ‘Fabulous Rubbish Flatbreads‘ in store, which really gave new meaning to cooking the books…
